Your Divorce Ally: Kris Pina
Hello. I am Kris Pina, your divorce ally, trusted supporter and game plan partner. I am a trauma- and narcissistic abuse-informed, CDC Certified Divorce Coach® and Strategist dedicated to guiding individuals through one of life’s most challenging transitions with empathy, expertise, and unwavering support.
My goal as your partner in divorce is to assist you in thinking strategically and in creating a plan for your divorce so that you can secure the best possible settlement and minimize the conflict, stress, costs, and the time needed to finalize your divorce, while helping you simultaneously heal from the pain, confusion and disappointment of separation, psychological and/or emotional abuse, betrayal trauma, and loss.
I specialize in supporting individuals who have experienced infidelity, lying, manipulation, and/or financial betrayal in their marriages – women who not only need resources and guidance with the logistical and financial aspects of divorce, but who may also need support managing the pain, fear and confusion of betrayal trauma, help communicating with a psychologically or emotionally abusive spouse, strategies for navigating conflict, and assistance negotiating effectively.
Professional Background, Certifications and Continuing Education
With over two decades of experience in consulting and a robust background in various therapeutic and coaching disciplines, I bring a comprehensive and compassionate approach to my divorce coaching practice.
I have been leading my own training, consulting and coaching businesses for over 20 years, providing individuals with strategic insights, support, and personalized solutions. My journey in the helping professions began over 12 years ago with a focus on helping women heal from disordered dieting and eating disorders. For 10 years I served as a practicing Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, EDIT Certified Intuitive Eating Disorder Therapist, and Certified Mindset and Performance Coach where I helped individuals nurture healthy relationships with themselves (and others), recover from the trauma caused by disordered relationships, and build the resilience and self-confidence they needed to face personal and professional challenges, reclaim their strength, achieve their goals, and thrive in all aspects of their lives.
I discovered divorce coaching while going through my own difficult divorce. I knew immediately that empowering women through this tremendously painful process and helping them heal from abuse, betrayal, and loss would be my next calling. After completing the CDC’s comprehensive educational and rigorous coaching practice requirements, I became a CDC Certified Divorce Coach® and soon took on my first client.
My continuing education is currently focused on learning new theories, concepts and techniques to help my clients heal from manipulation, betrayal, and psychological abuse so they can move forward with strength and optimism. With that purpose, I am pursuing additional training and certifications as a CPD Accredited Narcissistic Abuse Specialist, an ICF, CCE, and CPD Accredited Trauma-Informed Coach, and an ICF, CCE, and CPD Certified Trauma-Informed Positive Psychology Practitioner.
